Kurt trusted in Christ as his personal Savior as a college student.  He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Political Science in 1991, while completing the Navy ROTC program.  Following graduation, Kurt was commissioned into the United States Navy, where he spent ten years as a Naval Aviator flying the P-3 Orion.  Upon completion of his time of Naval service, Kurt has been flying the Boeing 737 for a U.S. based airline.

Kurt studied at Tyndale Theological Seminary, and counts it a privilege to serve as a bi-vocational pastor, teaching the Word of God at Flushing Bible Church. He has been married to Suzanne since 1992; they have three grown children.
